What I do at BPBC: I have the privilege of providing leadership for all of our Family Ministries and Church Programming. I work with a great group of Pastors and Directors to make sure that every member of the family is ministered to and supported by the activities of the church. From Preschool to Maturing Families, I coordinate church ministries to build up the home and strengthen family relationships.
Family: I live with a bunch of women…My beautiful wife Jennifer and three sweet girls—Julianne, Jenna, and Jerra.
Favorite Hobbies or Sports: I enjoy spending time with my wife and girls and reading.
Favorite Sports Team(s): The SEC…but, I’m partial to Alabama—ROLL TIDE!
My Story: I had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home with parents that loved Jesus and loved His church. It was at a young age that I knelt by our living room sofa and with my Dad at my side, I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and to save my soul. Through active involvement in the youth program at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida, I began to sense God’s call to surrender my life to ministry. During my junior year in college, I committed my life to follow the Master’s call. I was convinced that this call to ministry was a call to prepare, and upon graduation from college, I sought to prepare myself for the Lord’s service by pursuing a seminary education and doctoral studies. In January of 1997, the Lord answered my prayers by allowing me to marry the girl of my dreams. The Lord has also blessed me with three beautiful girls. Romans 9:17 best expresses my call to service, “I have raised you up for this very purpose that I might show my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed throughout all the earth.” Through the ministry of the church, I strive to fulfill the Great Commission so that all may come to know, love, and worship Jesus Christ in a real and personal way.
