What I do: I have the joy and privilege of serving as Senior Pastor of one of the nation's greatest churches! I am responsible for giving spiritual leadership to the Blackshear Place membership,staff and all ministries of the church family.I also preach and teach several times during the week in various ministry settings at Blackshear Place. I am so grateful God called me to serve Him and His church as a pastor...and I deeply love BP.

Family: My lovely bride, Becky and I were married on June 4, 1994. Becky is the love of my life! God has also blessed us with two terrific children. My daughter, Macie born in 2001 and my son, Josiah born in 2006.

Favorite Hobbies: Hanging out with my family.

Favorite Sports team: The Georgia Bulldogs...of course!!!!!

My relationship with Christ: I trusted Jesus as my personal savior on October 11, 1981. Jesus became real to me and even more real when I begin to grow in His Word. It was two years later at the age of thirteen, that I experienced a call to serve the Lord the rest of my life as a preacher of the Gospel. I said "Yes!" and begin preaching as a teenager. In this year of 2008 I have had the awesome privilege of preaching Jesus for twenty- five years. Wow that makes me sound old!
