What I do at BPBC: I am the assistant to Brother Christopher Martin. I have many responsibilities but the one that requires a lot of attention is contributions. It is so awesome to see every week how God meets the church’s needs through His people’s generosity and obedience. I also am a small part of the payables side too. I count it a privilege seeing “Kingdom work” done as we bless people in need and missionaries around the world. I am so grateful for my place here on staff.

Family: My husband, Carlton, and I are blessed with two “all-American” boys, Blake is 7 and Chandler is 6.

Favorite hobbies or sports: I have learned to love playing baseball in our backyard. I love to watch my boys run the bases when they hit an “in park home run”! Of course, that is almost every at bat. As far as hobbies are concerned I am all for whatever my mom and my aunt have going on at the moment. They are so creative, I just have fun helping.

Favorite sports team: I am a Georgia Bulldog fan because I was raised that way, but I am a Florida State Seminole fan because I spent four of the most memorable years of my life there (I was there back when the football team was good).

My relationship with Christ: I started my walk with the Lord in middle school. I was baptized (sprinkled) in the Methodist church upon completion of a confirmation class where I made my profession of faith. But, I didn’t really grow as a Christian until I had children. I will never forget a particular Sunday morning when I attended Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC. The pastor gave a message on “Sticks and Stones” from 1 Corinthians 3. I am still trying my best to live a life that will stand the test of fire. After joining BPBC in 2004 I gladly was baptized (immersed) by Dr. Grady Sutton!
