Date Started at BPBC: November 4, 2001
Birthdate: July 6, 1968
Birthplace: Harrodsburg, KY
What I do at BPBC: My ministry responsibilities include planning and leading worship each Sunday at BPBC. Sunday morning and evening worship services are led by our worship ministry team each week. I also have the privilege of leading the BPBC Worship Choir and Orchestra as we lead God’s people in worship and praise. This is the greatest group of people you could find in any church anywhere. There is such an anointing and touch of God on what He is doing in His church!!! It is pretty awesome to be a part of the work of God in this place. I also oversee our Kidz Praise (Children’s Choir) and PROSPER (Student Choir) ministries. God has blessed me with an incredible worship ministry staff who assist me in leading this incredible ministry.
Family: After graduating from college in 1990, I served as a student pastor in Sturgis, KY. It was there that I met my wife, Melissa, and we were married in 1991. We have 3 wonderful children: Jackson, our oldest, is 12 years old; Hadley and Taylor, our two daughters, are 10 and 8 respectively.
Favorite Hobbies or Sports: Golf, Sports, Music, ESPN, and Family time.
Favorite Sports Team(s): University of Kentucky (GO BIG BLUE) Basketball, University of Georgia Football, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Braves
My Relationship with Christ: I grew up in the home of a minister, so I heard the gospel all of my life. In 1975, when I was 7 years old, I went forward at the end of a revival service in Radcliff, KY, with several of my friends. When the pastor asked me why I had come forward, I told him I wasn’t really sure. Later that week, my parents and my pastor explained to me that I was a sinner in need of a Savior and I invited Christ to come into my heart and save me. I was saved and baptized in September of 1975. I never had any really rebellious times in my life, but I soon learned that God wanted more than me just being a “good little boy”. It was in middle school that I began to learn that God had a plan for my life. I was in the seventh grade at a summer youth camp when I realized that God was calling me into vocational ministry. I also began to realize that He wanted a personal relationship with me that would take me deeper with Him and make me more like His Son Jesus. I began serving in my first church ministry role during my freshman year in college and I have been in ministry since that day. God has been so faithful throughout my life, even when I have found myself to be faithless. To God be the glory for the great things He has done.
