Date Started at BPBC: August 9th, 2009

Birthdate: September 4th

Birthplace: Austell, Georgia

What I do at BPBC: I am responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating a program of music for children ages PreK-Fifth Grade. I also have the honor of leading in the development of worship to magnify and glorify Christ with the children of Blackshear Place.

Family: I am married to my best friend Stephen Adams. Stephen and I met at a music camp at the age of 10. We have known each other for over 25 years and have been married for 12 years. We have six children- Kenadi, Ian, Hanan (with Jesus), Kayna, Kena and Karah. They are the blessings of my life and I consider it an honor to be Stephen’s wife, and my children’s mother. They open my eyes to something new everyday!

Favorite Hobbies or Sports: I enjoy teaching my children, refereeing my children (my favorite sport), music ministry, eating at Olive Garden & O’Charlie’s, milkshakes at the Steak & Shake, hearing my dad and husband play the piano, listening to my husband sing our wedding song he wrote to me, listening to music by the late Keith Green, spending time with family, singing with my family & siblings and serving Christ.

Favorite Sports Team(s): I am not a big sports fanatic, but if I had to choose, I would choose the Georgia Bulldogs since my husband is a fan of Georgia Tech, just to keep it interesting.

My Relationship with Christ: I grew up in a loving, solid Christian home and was raised to serve the Lord through music evangelism and church ministry. I traveled and sang with my family, The David Young Family, for over 25 years of my life. My family ministry was a big impact on my relationship with Christ. I was exposed to Christ at an early age, and at the age of 9, I began to be uncomfortable with knowing where I would be if I died in my sleep. I remember like it was yesterday, kneeling next to my dad in his music studio and repeating the “sinner’s prayer”. As a child I didn’t understand it all, but knew I loved Jesus, that he died for my sins, and I wanted to live with Him forever. After marriage, becoming a parent, and losing a child, my relationship has been even stronger as I have encountered God’s grace and mercy like I never knew before. I strive to renew my relationship with Christ everyday and strive to “entertain the King” through music ministry as He deserves all the glory.
